Getting started with Loopers

What is a Looper? A Looper is an insider term for golf caddies - they earned their name by guiding golfers through the 18-hole loop of a golf course. This heritage embodies our business philosophy and approach to service.
What sets Loopers apart from other lawn care companies? Like golf's finest caddies, we bring professional expertise with a service-minded approach to every property. We don't just treat lawns - we serve as your personal greenskeeper, combining golf course standards with clear communication and education. Our team brings deep technical knowledge to unlock your lawn's full potential while keeping you informed every step of the way. We're building lasting partnerships with homeowners who want more than just basic lawn care.
How do I pay for my services? You can enter your credit card information on your custom quote. Once we have your card information, it will be automatically charged every month, similar to how subscription services process payments.
Will my service continue after one year? You can enter your credit card information on your custom quote. Once we have your card information, it will be automatically charged every month, similar to how subscription services process payments.

Our Service Process

Do I have to be home when the services are performed? No, our technicians can service your lawn while you're away if the gates are unlocked and there are no pets or children outside.
How do I know if my lawn was serviced? You will receive a pre-service and post-service text message. The pre-service message provides you with the option to track the technician's location and estimated arrival time. The post-service message details the actions taken during the visit and includes any notes about your property to help address any issues your lawn may be experiencing.
How long should it take for a specialist to complete and application? Our team has optimized the process to ensure efficiency. We estimate approximately two minutes for every 1,000 square feet. For lawns from 1 square foot up to 3,000 square feet, we have a base service time of 15 minutes. For example, if your lawn is 5,000 square feet, it would take our team 19 minutes to complete the service.
Will I have the same technician each time? At Loopers, our goal is for the same technician to service your lawn each visit, just like a golfer has the same caddy for every hole. While circumstances may sometimes prevent this, we will inform you of any changes.
Am I going to be bombarded with upselling requests? No. With the program we offer, most lawn issues will be addressed. Additional services will only be recommended when necessary for your lawn's condition.
How often do you come to treat my yard? For most lawns, we recommend eight treatments per year to achieve the best results. Our customized plan for the Austin area ensures your yard gets the right treatment at the right time, keeping it healthy and thriving year-round.

Treatments & Results

How long does it take to see results? Our customers can expect to observe results within 10-14 days following the application. This timeframe is typically required for weeds to respond to the treatment. Additionally, due to our advanced fertilizer technology, customers will experience prolonged results that extend beyond the initial 14 days, ensuring their lawns remain green and continue to thrive.
Does Loopers use Liquid or granular applications? Our scientifically-based lawn program uses both liquid and granular fertilizers for beautiful lawns, including three granular applications and one liquid application.
What is the timeframe between applications? Our program consists of eight rounds. Service visits depend on a number of variables. There may be times where you see us every month, or every other month.
What should I know about brown or bare spots that may develop after service? If weeds have taken over your lawn, you might see some brown or bare spots after our first service. Weeds steal nutrients and sunlight from weak turf. Our program will help your grass get healthier and eventually outgrow the weeds. This might take a few treatments over several months, but your lawn will thank you for it!
Why do weeds seem to grow bigger initially after treatment? Weeds take 10-14 days to show effects from herbicide but can still absorb fertilizer in the meantime. This means weeds may grow quickly after fertilizing before showing signs of decline. This will be brief, and we guarantee weed control. Multiple applications may be needed for complete control.
Are all treatments the same? No, each treatment is tailored to the season. In winter, we focus on weed control; in spring, we prioritize fertilization; and in summer, we help with moisture retention to keep your lawn healthy year-round.
My lawn dies each summer. Will Loopers save my yard? During extreme heat and drought, lawns can go dormant and turn brown, even with regular watering. At Loopers, we help your yard withstand the heat by using moisture retention products and smart lawn care strategies. Our goal is to minimize water usage while keeping your lawn as healthy and green as possible until cooler temperatures return.

Safety & Care Instructions

Is it safe for kids and pets? Yes! We do advise staying off the lawn for two hours after the lawn is serviced.
When should I water my lawn after an application? For best results, you should water your lawn at least 24 hours after being serviced.
How long should I wait to mow after an application? For best results, you should not mow your lawn until 24 hours has passed after your lawn was serviced.
How often should I mow my lawn? The frequency of mowing depends on your desired grass height. For a height of 3-4 inches, mowing once a week is sufficient. If you prefer a lower height, such as 2-3 inches, it is necessary to mow at least twice per week.
Are the products applied by Loopers safe for the environment? All of the products we use are safe and are applied strictly according to the instructions on their labels. Our products are designed to be absorbed and not runoff.
